Re: ahhh aphids!
I try to use the least intensive approaches first, like spraying the aphids with a blast of water from a hose. If that doesn’t work, a homemade solution of water, oil, and dish soap can be used. I like to use some organic commercial sprays based on essential oils, but those are limiting under hot conditions because they can fry the leaves. Sometimes I like to use a sacrificial plant that I allow to have aphids because the ladybugs and mantises will come into the garden. It’s a delicate balance and quite the challenge!

Re: ahhh aphids!
Last year it was caterpillars that engorged themselves on my outdoor cannabis plant. This year, tons of aphids! The caterpillars were manageable because they were big enough to locate and pull off the buds, but the aphids are just everywhere. I harvested the plant this morning and hung it to dry after trying to shake some of them off, but there are still so many crawling around!
