Nursing a Frail Orchid Back to Health

Four months ago, my daughter's orchid was not doing well. It was a gift from her boyfriend and she had been keeping it up on the window sill in her room, but between school and a new job, she was having a hard time keeping it properly watered. We moved it downstairs so it was easier for others in the household to help keep an eye on it, and it has come back quite strong since. A few weeks ago it had even started a bloom chute, but I, unfortunately, had clumsily broken off the tip while moving it for a photo. Oh well. I'm confident it will bloom again.

As a point of reference, this photo was taken of my daughter's orchid shortly after we moved it downstairs.

Two weeks went by so fast, and this little orchid's new flourescence is starting to tower above the rest of the plant. I must try taking snapshots a little more often over the next few weeks.

These blooms just keep popping, with a half dozen or more still in queue.
